<cite index="8-6">The Virginia Beach Convention Center was the first convention center in the United States to earn LEED® Gold certification as an existing building from the U.S. Green Building Council.</cite> <cite index="8-7">The eco-friendly, state-of-the-art facility offers more than 250,000 square feet of programmable event space for events of any capacity.</cite> <cite index="9-1">The venue provides up to 150,012 square feet of exhibit space on a single floor, with a 40-foot ceiling height, 350 lbs/sq ft floor load, and full amenities including air conditioning, AV facilities, food services, WiFi, and business center.</cite> <cite index="12-3">It has 22 contiguous loading docks located on-grade adjacent to the exhibit hall and ballroom.</cite> <cite index="5-11,5-12">An event at the center is a full-service experience that includes catering; Distinctive Gourmet is the convention center's on-site, award-winning caterer.</cite>
<cite index="5-2">The Virginia Beach Convention Center provides free parking in the parking lots surrounding the convention center.</cite> <cite index="7-2">The main entrance is on 19th Street, with parking on both sides of 19th Street.</cite> <cite index="7-23">The parking lots are also accessible from the 1000 block of Virginia Beach Blvd.</cite> <cite index="9-1">Approximately 1,350 parking spaces are available.</cite>
By air: <cite index="7-28,7-29">Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is just 20 minutes from the Virginia Beach Convention Center and services the area with over 200 flights daily from most US carriers, including discount airlines, with direct and non-stop flights.</cite>
By car: <cite index="7-30,7-31,7-32,7-33">Leaving Norfolk International Airport you will be on Norview Avenue; stay right until you reach I-64 East, then take the I-264 East exit toward the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, and the convention center will be on the right-hand side near the end of I-264.</cite> <cite index="7-24,7-25,7-26">Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, use the Waze app for traffic and road conditions, and the City's VB Go app to find parking in real time.</cite>
<cite index="6-3,6-4,6-5,6-6">The Virginia Beach Convention Center is in downtown Virginia Beach, and there are no hotels in the center itself; the DoubleTree Hotel is two blocks to the west, with the next closest hotels along the coast.</cite>
