AAOS Annual Meeting 2027 is a Healthcare show in Las Vegas, NV with approximately 600 exhibitors expected.
More detailed information about this show will be added soon.
The AAOS Annual Meeting is the largest orthopaedic gathering in the country. At the 2019 meeting, professional attendance exceeded 15,000, with nearly 30,000 people in total — including exhibitors, staff, and guests — and 91% of attendees reported high satisfaction scores. The exhibit hall at recent meetings has hosted 600+ companies spanning 190,000+ square feet of space. Attendee surveys consistently show that 96% of all registrants surveyed visit the Exhibit Hall. The 2023 attendee profile by subspecialty focus included Sports Medicine (1,702), Adult Reconstruction Hip and Knee (1,070), Trauma (1,049), Spine (360), Shoulder and Elbow (619), and Foot and Ankle (524), among others. Practice settings represented include academic practice (26.3%), hospital or medical center (19.6%), private orthopaedic group (17.5%), multi-specialty group (11.3%), solo private practice (9.5%), and other settings.
Registration for the AAOS Annual Meeting is managed by Maritz, the Academy's official registration provider, and is completed online at aaos.org/annual/attend/registration/. Registration typically opens in the fall preceding the meeting, with early-bird rates available for those who register in advance — signing up early is encouraged to secure the best pricing.
Pass types accommodate a range of attendees:
Instructional Course Lectures (ICLs) are included with standard registration. Pre-registered attendees with U.S. addresses may receive their badge by mail before the meeting; an express badge pick-up barcode option is also available. On-site registration is offered during meeting hours (typically 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Thursday and abbreviated hours on the final day).
Up to 100 CME credits are available. Post-meeting content is accessible via AAOS OnDemand. AAOS cautions attendees to register only through official AAOS/Maritz channels, as unauthorized third parties have been known to impersonate official registration services.
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons was founded in 1933 as the preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and allied health professionals worldwide. Its Annual Meeting has been a cornerstone of the organization's educational mission since its earliest years, growing steadily into the largest orthopaedic conference in North America. The Academy's continuing medical education activities encompass the Annual Meeting, courses at the Orthopaedic Learning Center (OLC), and an extensive catalog of scientific publications and digital media.
Over the decades the meeting has expanded in scope, scale, and innovation. Signature programming additions include the OrthoDome® immersive 4K surgical video theater, the OrthoPitch technology pitch competition (debuting at the 2024 Annual Meeting to standing-room-only crowds), and interactive Exhibit Hall experiences such as OrthoQuest and Pickleball in the Hall. Following attendee feedback gathered after recent meetings, AAOS has streamlined its schedule, incorporated ICLs into base registration, and introduced tools such as an AI-driven mobile app with personalized session recommendations and a PeerConnect networking feature. The meeting rotates annually among major U.S. cities, with recent editions held in San Diego (2025) and New Orleans (2026).
Detailed exhibitor list is being compiled. Check back soon or visit the official show website for the most current information.

McCormick Place is the largest convention center in North America, comprising a 2.6 million-square-foot campus situated on Chicago's lakefront. The complex consists of four distinct buildings — the North Building, South Building, West Building, and Lakeside Center (which also houses the Arie Crown Theater) — linked by a sophisticated network of climate-controlled skybridges and concourses that allow attendees to move between exhibit halls, session rooms, and connected hotels without going outdoors.
The campus functions as a self-contained city: walking from the West Building to Lakeside Center can take approximately 20 minutes, so comfortable footwear is essential for multi-day attendees. The venue features vast exhibition halls capable of accommodating hundreds of companies, extensive breakout and meeting room inventory for educational sessions and workshops, dedicated registration areas at multiple gates, and a Grand Concourse that connects the buildings. On-site amenities include permanent and pop-up coat and baggage check areas, Mamava private nursing suites (accessible via the Mamava Mobile App), and mobility equipment rentals through Scootaround Inc. McCormick Place is fully ADA-compliant, with elevators, ramps, and accessible entrances throughout the complex.
McCormick Place operates three on-campus parking lots, all ADA-accessible and close to the convention buildings:
The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel also has a dedicated parking garage with hourly rates. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) designated pick-up and drop-off zones are at Gate 4 (South/North Buildings) and Gate 40 (West Building). Prepaid parking can be ordered in advance through the McCormick Place online ordering system.
By Air: The two nearest airports are O'Hare International Airport (ORD), approximately 21 miles from McCormick Place, and Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW), approximately 9 miles away. Midway is often faster to reach due to lower traffic volume on the route south. Airport Express shuttle service provides transportation between both airports and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel (connected directly to the convention center); call 888-284-3826 or visit airportexpress.com to book.
By Train — Metra (Recommended): The Metra Electric Line stops directly at McCormick Place via the McCormick Place Station, located below the South Building. From Millennium Station in the heart of downtown Chicago, the ride takes approximately 7 minutes — one of the fastest and most reliable options for attendees staying in the Loop or South Loop.
By CTA Bus & 'L' Train: CTA bus routes and 'L' train connections serve the McCormick Place area from throughout Chicago. Contact the RTA at 312-836-7000 or rtachicago.org for schedules and route planning.
By Rideshare / Taxi: Designated rideshare (Uber/Lyft) pick-up and drop-off zones are at Gate 4 for the South and North Buildings and Gate 40 for the West Building. Allow extra travel time during morning and evening peak hours, particularly on busy show days.
By Car: From Midway Airport or the southwest, take I-55 North to US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive) and exit at 31st Street. From the north, follow Lake Shore Drive south and exit at 31st Street. Parking is available in on-campus Lots A, B, and C.
