America's Credit Unions Governmental Affairs Conference - GAC 2027

GAC is the largest gathering in the credit union movement, and recent editions have set attendance records. More than 6,000 credit union leaders gathered in Washington, D.C., for the 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), marking the 50th anniversary of this premier industry event. Attendees converged on Capitol Hill, with more than 600 scheduled meetings aimed at ensuring that lawmakers understand the need for credit unions' tax status. Earlier editions drew similar crowds — the 2024 conference hosted an estimated 5,000 to nearly 6,000 professionals, and the 2023 event reported more than 5,700 advocates from across the nation, from nearly 1,000 credit unions in all 50 states, along with 33 credit union leagues/associations, 300 system vendor-supporters, 200 speakers, and 336 exhibit hall booths. Attendees span credit union executives, board members, league leaders, and system partners.

Cancellation terms: All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received more than 30 days before the event are subject to a 25% administrative fee on the order total. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made after 30 days before the event. Substitutions are accepted before the program begins. Members of state leagues (for example, CCUA) may coordinate registration and housing through their league.

GAC is a long-running cornerstone of credit union advocacy. The 2025 edition marked the 50th anniversary of this premier industry event, placing its founding in the mid-1970s. For decades the conference was produced by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). The 2024 GAC, held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, was the first gathering of the movement following the merger of CUNA and NAFCU, bringing forth America's Credit Unions, an organization dedicated to advocating for a thriving environment for credit unions nationwide. America's Credit Unions is a national trade association for both state- and federally chartered credit unions in the United States, launched in 2024 as part of the merger between the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU). The 2025 conference set an attendance record with more than 6,000 leaders.
