According to APPA, the Industry Innovations Expo brings together 100+ vendors and partners with more than 1,200 utility CEOs, senior executives, and policymakers. Attendees include utility general managers and CEOs, senior managers, mayors and city council members, commissioners and governing board members, policy and strategy makers, industry partners, vendors, and consultants.

Group discounts apply when an organization registers five or more people on the same order: $50 off per person (5–9 registrants), $100 (10–14), $150 (15–24), and $200 (25+). APPA members receive discounted registration fees. Registrants who cancel in writing by June 14, 2027 receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee; cancellations after that date are not refundable, though attendee substitutions are allowed.
The APPA National Conference is the American Public Power Association's flagship annual event. APPA is the voice of not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that power 2,000 towns and cities nationwide, representing public power before the federal government on behalf of the more than 49 million people that public power utilities serve and the 93,000 people they employ. The conference rotates among host cities each year; the 2026 edition was held in Boston, Massachusetts, and the 2027 edition moves to Orlando, Florida.

The Orlando World Center Marriott is a premier resort destination in the heart of Central Florida that serves as both the conference venue and headquarters hotel. The expansive resort offers world-class amenities including a full-service spa, a lagoon-style pool with water slides, a golf course, and multiple on-site restaurants. On-site parking at the Orlando World Center Marriott is offered at $38 per vehicle, per night. Valet parking is available at $55 per vehicle, per night. (Rates are per the venue's published figures and are subject to change.)
The Orlando World Center Marriott is located in the Central Florida theme-park corridor southwest of downtown Orlando. The nearest major airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO). Rideshare services, taxis, and rental cars are widely available in the Orlando area; on-site and valet parking are available at the resort for those driving.
The Orlando World Center Marriott serves as the official conference hotel, so attendees can stay on-site at the venue. The APPA room block opens in early 2027, with a group rate of $247/night (single/double) plus state and local taxes (12.5%) and a resort fee (currently $20). The cut-off date to receive the APPA group rate is Tuesday, May 25, 2027, though the block may sell out earlier, so early reservations are encouraged. APPA warns attendees to book only through official APPA links and to avoid third parties that contact them by phone or email.

The conference is designed for professionals affiliated with public power, including utility general managers and CEOs, senior managers and rising leaders, mayors and city council members, commissioners and governing board members, policy makers, industry partners, vendors, and consultants. It is considered especially valuable for new board members and executive staff.
Registration opens in early 2027 through APPA's online My.PublicPower portal. Early-bird rates (by May 7) are $1,195 for members and $2,390 for non-members, rising to $1,295 and $2,490 by June 18, with preconference seminars priced at $395 and group discounts for organizations registering five or more people.
