Associated Schools of Construction - ASC 2027

Recent editions rank among the largest in the event's history. The 2025 competition featured 241 teams and roughly 1,800 registered students, competing in 16 competitions. That year drew students from 56 schools, including 23 schools each from Regions 6 and 7, 11 schools from Regions 1–5, and participation representing 21 states plus a school from Region 8 (Europe). The audience is primarily construction management students and faculty, alongside industry professionals from sponsoring companies who mentor, judge, and recruit.

Registration is organized around student team participation rather than general admission:

1. Team "Intent to Compete" registration opens October 5, 2026 at noon Pacific Time.
2. Registration of team member and faculty coach names begins November 2, 2026 and is due December 11, 2026.
3. Teams that have not registered names by December 11, 2026 will be dropped from the competition.

The Associated Schools of Construction traces its origins to 1965, when founding members agreed to form the association and hold the first general meeting at the University of Michigan. Over the following decades, ASC grew into seven U.S. regions plus an international region (Region 8, Europe), with international expansion first discussed at the 42nd conference in 2007. The annual student competitions became one of the association's most popular benefits, engaging thousands of students each year and connecting them with industry sponsors. The Regions 6 & 7 competition has grown into one of the largest of its kind; the 2025 edition was the 38th annual event, making the February 2027 gathering the 40th annual ASC Regions 6 & 7 Student Competition and Construction Management Conference.
