California Association of Health Facilities - CAHF 2026

According to CAHF's 2025 evaluation data, professional attendance (excluding exhibit personnel) was 766, and total attendance including exhibiting personnel was 1,471. Total convention attendance has grown steadily in recent years—482 in 2020, 1,273 in 2021, 1,092 in 2022, 1,420 in 2023, 1,444 in 2024, and 1,471 in 2025.

Audience demographics (2025): 39% administrators, 17% directors of nursing, 9% executive VPs/directors, plus CEOs/presidents, CFOs/COOs, and other clinical and operational leaders. By member type, 60% are from multi-facility organizations, 23% are independent owner/operators, 9% non-proprietary, and 8% agency/ICF-DD. About 37% travel from surrounding areas including Orange County, San Bernardino/Riverside, and San Diego, with only 2% coming from out of state.

For the 2026 CAHF Expo, published booth rates (Associate Member / Non-Member) are:

• Standard 10' x 10': $3,500 / $5,200
• Each additional non-corner 10' x 10': $1,750 / $1,750
• Corner 10' x 10': $3,550 / $5,250
• Flamingo Bingo Premium Booth: $3,650 / $5,350
• Super Quad (any four-booth configuration): $5,600 / $7,300
• First-Time CAHF Exhibitor (excludes premium booths and Super Quads): $2,975 / $4,675

Priority Placement exhibitors receive a $400 discount off these rates, and joining as a CAHF Associate Member can save roughly $1,700. Booth pricing includes a 10' x 10' space with pipe and drape and existing hall carpet, booth personnel badges (four for a standard booth), food and beverage tickets, a website/app listing, and other exhibitor benefits. Tables, chairs, electricity, and specific carpet must be purchased separately from show contractor LVE. Sponsorships range from $300 (Emerging Technology) up to $5,000 for exclusive activations such as the Puppy Park, Flamingo Lounge, and Wellness Lounge.

Registration for the convention and expo is handled through CAHF at www.cahf.org. Exhibitors reserve booth space via a staggered schedule of "space release" dates; for 2026 these ran from mid-May (partners and priority-placement exhibitors) through late June (new and returning exhibitors). Companies not already in CAHF's database can email the expo manager to be added to a release group.

Key exhibitor deadlines for 2026 include: September 25 (last day to cancel with only a $150 administrative fee retained), October 16 (all early bookings must be paid in full), November 6 (deadline to assign booth personnel badges and purchase event tickets), and November 15 (exhibitor move-in and badge pick-up). CAHF's refund policy for education/classes requires written cancellation at least five business days before a course.

The California Association of Health Facilities was founded in 1950 as a non-profit professional organization. Today it represents 900 skilled nursing facilities and 420 intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities; each year, more than 139,000 caregivers provide short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, end-of-life assistance, and habilitative nursing services for 350,000 individuals.

The Annual Convention & Expo is CAHF's largest event of the year, held each November in Palm Springs. The 2025 edition marked the 75th Annual Convention. Total attendance has climbed from a low of 482 in 2020 (during the pandemic) to 1,471 in 2025. The convention is committed to returning to Palm Springs, with future editions scheduled for November 14–17, 2027, and moving to the Town & Country Resort in San Diego for 2028.
