CANNEXUS National Career Development Conference 2027

Cannexus26 brought together more than 1,600 delegates in Ottawa and online. The last conference welcomed more than 1,600 participants from Canada and around the globe. In the Cannexus26 post-conference survey, 95.6% of delegates rated the conference as good to excellent, and 82.3% indicated they plan to recommend it to their colleagues. Cannexus26 featured more than 140 sessions spanning a wide range of topics.

Cannexus27 is open for registration, with Super Saver rates available until September 9. Super Saver rates for the virtual conference start at $350 and in-person rates start at $644.

Discounts include:

• Members of supporting organizations receive 20% off either virtual or in-person registration.
• The 20% discount is also available for groups of 5 or more from the same organization.
• Special student pricing is applicable to full-time students only; once registered, a letter from your school registrar on official letterhead is required to confirm student status, emailed to registration@ceric.ca.

All registrations include the bonus virtual conference day, Cannexus Reflections, on Feb. 4. If you wish to change your registration from virtual to in-person or vice versa, it is possible by notifying the organizers prior to a January deadline. Bursaries are also available: the Marilyn Van Norman Bursary supports community-based career development or employment practitioners to attend in-person, and the Young Professionals Bursary supports emerging employment and career development practitioners.

Cannexus26 brought together more than 1,600 delegates in Ottawa and online from January 26-28, 2026, marking a significant milestone as Cannexus celebrated its 20th anniversary, reflecting on two decades of advancing career development research, policy and practice across Canada. Cannexus27 is the 21st annual conference. Over the years the event has grown into a hybrid gathering: Cannexus24 was a hybrid conference with an in-person portion held at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, taking place January 29-31, 2024. Since the venue's renaming, the in-person conference is held at the Rogers Centre in Ottawa.
