Cultivate is consistently described as North America's largest horticulture trade show, drawing more than 10,000 attendees. <cite index="6-1">According to AmericanHort, 10,016 attendees from 34 countries and across all industry segments attended Cultivate'17 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.</cite> <cite index="8-1">More than 10,000 landscapers, florists, greenhouse growers, and other garden management professionals from around the world attended Cultivate'18.</cite> <cite index="11-7,11-8">Participants have come from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and more than 22 other countries, representing all aspects of the horticulture industry, including garden and floral retailing, greenhouse and nursery production, plant breeding, landscaping, interior plantscaping, research and education, and manufacturers and providers of products and services.</cite>

Cultivate has one of the deepest histories of any U.S. trade show. <cite index="11-9">Formerly known as the OFA Short Course, the 2014 edition was the 86th edition of the event, which was rebranded that year as "Cultivate."</cite> <cite index="11-1,11-4">The trade show formerly known as OFA Short Course, Cultivate'14 concluded with more than 10,000 attendees — the event's best attendance in more than a decade.</cite> The show has grown steadily since the rebrand. <cite index="6-2,6-3,6-4">Cultivate'17 set a record with 10,016 attendees from 34 countries and was the first event to use the entirety of the newly renovated Greater Columbus Convention Center, which added 30,000 square feet to the trade show floor.</cite> <cite index="10-1,10-2">AmericanHort's signature event has climbed the trade show industry rankings, moving up to 108 on the 2017 Trade Show News Network (TSNN) Top 250 Trade Show list from 130 the prior year.</cite>

<cite index="8-1">Cultivate is held at the 1.8-million-square-foot Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus.</cite> <cite index="8-7">The Greater Columbus Convention Center can accommodate both the show's exhibit-space needs and the meeting space required for all the events that take place during the conference.</cite> On-site attendee amenities include a registration area in the North Atrium, a luggage check in the Eisenmann Room (at the top of the triple escalators) for $5 per bag, and a Transportation Zone in the Convention Center Connector between the venue and the Hyatt and Hilton hotels.
Many downtown Columbus hotels offer parking, and area parking options are available near the Greater Columbus Convention Center. A directory of directions and parking options is published on the convention center's website (columbusconventions.com).
By air: <cite index="8-1">Fly into John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), then it's roughly a 10-minute shuttle, taxi, or Uber ride to downtown Columbus.</cite> Major carriers serving CMH include Air Canada, American, Delta, Southwest, and United.
By car: Columbus is reachable via two major interstates — I-70 from the east and west, and I-71 from the north and south.
By bus: Greyhound provides intercity bus service to Columbus.
Getting around: Complimentary shuttles run between designated hotels and the convention center each day of the show, departing from the Transportation Zone in the Convention Center Connector. Rideshare services such as Uber are also readily available.

Complimentary shuttle service is provided from a number of properties, including Aloft OSU, Courtyard Downtown, Holiday Inn Downtown Capitol Square, Home2 Suites, Hotel LeVeque, Hyatt Place OSU, Renaissance, Springhill Suites, The Junto Hotel, and Westin Columbus. Note: attendees must be registered for Cultivate to book within the hotel block, and Maritz Global Events is the only approved housing partner.

Cultivate 2026 takes place July 11–14, 2026, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, located at 400 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43215.
Cultivate is designed for the entire green industry, including growers, retailers, breeders, suppliers, distributors, designers, landscapers, educators, researchers, and manufacturers. It draws garden centers, greenhouse and nursery professionals, plant breeders, and suppliers of everything from plants and soils to signage and labels.
Registration is handled online through AmericanHort and its partner Maritz Global Events. The Cultivate All-Access Pass is $449 for AmericanHort members and $649 for non-members, while the Expo Plus Pass is $45 for members and $65 for non-members; rates increase after June 17, 2026.
Cultivate is North America's largest all-industry horticulture event, offering more than 160 education sessions, hands-on workshops, production tours, and a trade show floor with hundreds of exhibitors. It is the industry's go-to source for new products, new plant varieties, and professional networking.
