Based on that milestone, the show dates to the late 1990s. It is organized by IDEAg Group, LLC, based in Eagan, Minnesota. Dakotafest takes place on the Schlaffman Farm, an open outdoor show site in Mitchell that hosts hundreds of exhibitor spaces, demonstration areas and family activities. Golf cart reservations can be made by calling NB Golf Car at 605-275-4653, and carts are also rented on site on a first come, first served basis; personal golf carts are not allowed on show grounds.
Mitchell sits along Interstate 90 in southeastern South Dakota, making the show grounds easily reachable by car. On-site golf cart rentals are available to help attendees move around the large show grounds.
