International Studies Association - ISA 2027

Founded in 1959, the ISA is comprised of more than 7,000 members around the world, including academics, practitioners, policy experts, private sector workers and independent researchers. The annual convention draws a global audience of scholars, practitioners, and students. Specific attendance figures for the Atlanta 2027 convention have not been published.

Registration for ISA 2027 is handled through the official ISA website (isanet.org). Key points to note:

1. It is the policy of the association that all participants and attendees of the annual conference must register and pay the appropriate registration fees, and everyone accepted onto the program is required to preregister no later than four weeks after acceptance onto the program.
2. A registration is never considered "complete" until it is paid in full, and ISA membership is different from convention registration.
3. ISA offers membership rates based on status (student, institution, family, faculty) and income; memberships may be purchased using the ISA online system, and if you do not already have an account, you can create a free user account.

Prospective presenters submit proposals through the ISA submission portal; final registration rates and deadlines for 2027 are published on the ISA website.

A group of scholars and practitioners founded the International Studies Association (ISA) in 1959 to pursue mutual interests in international studies. It has been headquartered at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, since 2015. In 2020 ISA had more than 7,000 members in over 100 countries, and it describes itself as "one of the oldest interdisciplinary associations dedicated to understanding international, transnational and global affairs."

The association holds its convention in a different North American city each year. Recent and upcoming host cities include Columbus, OH (2026), Atlanta, GA (2027), New Orleans, LA (2028), Las Vegas, NV (2029), and Baltimore, MD (2030).
