IOWA AG EXPO 2027

Admission is affordable and can be purchased online in advance to save money and skip the line. Regular admission is $10 at the door or $5 with advance online registration. Admission is free for students showing a valid student ID and for all children under 14 years of age.

The event traces its roots back more than a century. The inaugural Iowa Power Farming Show was held at the Des Moines Coliseum in 1910, in conjunction with the Iowa Implement Dealers Association's annual conference, featuring 50 exhibitors with booths starting at $25. In 1957 the show moved to the newly constructed Veterans Memorial Auditorium, where it grew from 126 booths to a record 206 booths in just nine years, with nearly 10,000 farmers attending the 1968 show.

Over the decades the show expanded across the Iowa Events Center complex, becoming the first event to utilize all three buildings, and in 2018 the lower level of Hy-Vee Hall was added. In April 2020, the show was renamed the Iowa Ag Expo to better reflect the evolution of agriculture, expanding beyond ag equipment to include all ag-related products. Today the Expo is the third-largest indoor ag show in the United States, with nearly 700 exhibitors occupying 1,950 spaces spanning 7.25 acres in three buildings, and it is produced by the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association (INEDA).
