NAPE Summit Week - North American Prospect Expo 2027

NAPE Summit has grown into one of the energy industry's largest gatherings. From a little more than 100 exhibiting companies and 1,000 participants in its inaugural year, it reached 800 companies and 16,000 attendees in Houston 25 years later. More recently, the 2020 Summit brought together more than 12,000 professionals and 700 exhibitors from across the globe. The 2027 NAPE Summit is expected to draw thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors. The audience spans decision-makers, prospect generators, investors, service and capital providers, legal counsel, and the renewable energy sector, from small independents to major corporations.

Students: Students may purchase a pass for $75 if they show a valid student I.D. at the registration desk at check-in; student passes may not be purchased in advance. NAPE Expo requires that all attendees be at least 18 years of age.

In 1993, a group of trailblazing landmen formed a think tank for AAPL called the Issues Management Council, and in looking for innovative ways to serve the industry they developed an idea called the North American Prospect Expo — now simply known as NAPE. Founded in 1993 by AAPL — with partners IPAA, SEG and AAPG added over the next several years — NAPE Expo has become the largest exhibition of its kind in the world.

The site of the first NAPE was Houston, Texas, and it has been held there ever since, with an initial attendance of 800 to more than 12,000 today, making it the world's largest international marketplace for the upstream energy business. Notable milestones include the introduction of the Renewable Energy Hub in 2021, and the marking of 30 years of making deals happen with the launch of the NAPE Hall of Fame, alongside expansion of the Renewable Energy and Bitcoin Mining pavilions into hubs and the introduction of the Minerals & NonOp Hub.
