The ALOA Convention & Security Expo is organized by the ALOA Security Professionals Association, Inc. As ALOA celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2026, the event carries a long legacy in the industry, placing the association's founding in the mid-1950s. The convention rotates among major U.S. cities; the 2027 edition is scheduled for July 11–17, 2027, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois. Over the decades the show has grown into what the association describes as the industry's premier annual event, combining education, certification and a major exhibit floor.

The event is held at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, a full-service off-Strip resort in the southwest Las Vegas valley. South Point is home to over 155,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including a 75,000-square-foot Conference Center featuring 22 meeting rooms and a 21,600-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Its 80,000-square-foot, column-free, carpeted Exhibit Hall can accommodate everything from small board meetings and conventions to trade shows, and complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout all meeting and exhibit spaces. The resort features more than 2,100 spacious guest rooms and suites, complimentary parking and valet service. On-site amenities include a casino, an equestrian center, a 64-lane bowling center, a 16-screen movie theater, and a showroom hosting headliner entertainment.
Parking is free for guests and attendees. There is free parking in a secure 7-story covered garage, just steps from the casino floor and restaurants, plus a spacious free outdoor parking lot; the garage is well-lit and patrolled 24/7. Autel electric-vehicle charging stations are located on the backside of the third floor in the parking garage, with 20 charging stations available. The resort is accessible via I-15 at Exit 31 (Silverado Ranch), and parking for semi-trucks and trailers is available on the corner of Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard across from South Point. Complimentary valet parking is also offered.
The nearest airport is Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). South Point is conveniently located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, just 9 miles from Harry Reid International Airport. The driving distance from LAS to South Point is about 7 miles and roughly 10 minutes. The hotel offers free parking and a complimentary airport shuttle. To use the free airport shuttle you must call ahead to make reservations, toll-free at 1-866-796-7111, at least 24 hours prior to arrival. The resort also runs a paid shuttle to the Strip and Downtown, and Uber, Lyft and taxi services are available along with RTC public bus routes.
The South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is itself the host hotel, offering the most convenient option for attendees. This 3.5-star resort has more than 2,100 guestrooms and offers a casino, an outdoor pool, and a 24-hour gym. Because the resort sits off the Strip in the Enterprise/southwest valley, most attendees stay on-site. Other lodging is available a short drive away near the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard and along I-15, though the Strip's main hotel cluster is roughly 3 to 9 miles north.
