American College of Cardiology - ACC 2027

For ACC.26, the official Expo site reported 17,000+ attendees, more than 12,000 professional attendees, 260 exhibitors, and 107 countries represented by key opinion leaders. The audience includes cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, clinical researchers, healthcare executives, hospital administrators, medical device manufacturers, and pharmaceutical leaders.

Exclusive Member Registration opens Wednesday, Oct. 14, followed by general Early Bird Registration on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Registration is completed online through the official ACC Scientific Session website.

For those presenting research: the meeting accepts Abstract, Complex Clinical Case, CV Team Abstract and CV Team Case submissions, due Oct. 6 by 1 p.m. ET.

The first ACC meeting occurred in New York in 1951 and attracted more than 275 physicians. More than 400 physicians joined that first national meeting, held in New York City at the Hotel Statler; by the time the first general meeting was held in June 1952, the program attracted almost 500 physicians from nearly every state, Canada, and as far away as Hawaii.

The American College of Cardiology itself was founded in 1949. Its initial mission was to bring continuing education to practicing clinicians through national meetings, and the ACC's first live education meeting evolved into the Annual Scientific Session, one of the leading cardiovascular scientific meetings. The growth of the scientific program has been accompanied by steady expansion of scientific exhibits, poster sessions and commercial exhibits. ACC.27 marks the 76th Annual Scientific Session.
