Pharmacy Futures is a relatively new addition to ASHP's calendar, introduced as the organization's summer event. Earlier promotion described it as a "brand-new dynamic summer event" bringing together pharmacy practitioners, practice leaders, and preceptors. The 2024 edition was held June 8-12, 2024, in Portland, Oregon, and the meeting moves to the America's Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, MO, for 2026. It runs alongside ASHP's long-established Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition, and exhibiting at Pharmacy Futures earns priority points toward future space selection at both events.
701 Convention Plaza
Located in the heart of downtown St. Louis, the America's Center Convention Complex is the premier destination for meetings, conventions, and trade shows. It offers 412,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space across six halls, with an additional 162,000 square feet available when combined with The Dome and Annex. America's Center is made up of three levels: level one offers six exhibit halls, the 100 series meeting room complexes and pre-function and public spaces; level two is home to America's Ballroom and the 200 series meeting room complexes; and the third floor contains the St. Louis Executive Conference Center and the Explore St. Louis offices. The main entrance is located on the 800 block of Washington Avenue. A concierge desk near the Washington Avenue entrance is staffed during events with information on local restaurants and attractions.
Parking is available in garages and surface lots throughout downtown St. Louis. Visit getaroundstl.com to get directions to preferred parking providers. A garage attached to the America's Center offers covered parking a short walk from the halls, and additional surface lots and garages are located within a few blocks. Booking in advance through a service like SpotHero is recommended, as event-day walk-up pricing can run two to three times the pre-booked rate.
America's Center is located about 14 miles from St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL), with several public transportation options readily available. Take the MetroLink Red Line from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 at Lambert Airport directly to the Convention Center station at 6th and Washington Avenue — approximately 30 to 40 minutes with no transfer required. The train costs about $3, making it the cheapest option.
The Convention Center MetroLink stop is less than two blocks away at 6th and Washington. For rideshare, pickup is on the west lane of Broadway — use this address in your app rather than America's Center's main address to avoid the wrong entrance. A taxi from the airport takes roughly 19 minutes.
There are approximately 8,000 hotel rooms within a mile of America's Center and more than 40,000 hotel rooms throughout the metro area. Options within walking distance include:
