American Sociological Association Annual Meeting - ASA 2026

The 121st ASA Annual Meeting is one of the largest annual gatherings of the sociological community, bringing together nearly 5,000 scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world. ASA anticipates roughly 5,000 attendees for the 2026 meeting. Attendees include sociology faculty, researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, and practitioners working across academic, applied, and policy settings.

Registration is open for the 121st ASA Annual Meeting, taking place August 7–11, 2026, at the Hilton New York Midtown and Sheraton New York Times Square. Key points for attendees and presenters:

• Registration is required for all sessions and events, badges must be worn at all times for entry, and all participants listed on the program must register — including presenting authors, mentors, presiders, discussants, panelists, moderators, and other substantive roles.
• Participants who do not register by June 15, 2026, will be withdrawn from the program.
• Complimentary registration may be granted to certain qualified non-member presenters who work outside the discipline; requests must be emailed before June 1, 2026.
• Complimentary press registration is available to qualified media professionals at ASA's discretion; requests are made by email.
• Refund requests must be submitted by email by July 1, 2026.

On-site badge pickup and registration will be located in the New York Hilton Midtown, 2nd Floor Promenade, opening Friday, August 7.
