The ASEE Annual Conference is a long-running fixture in engineering education, hosted by the American Society for Engineering Education. The 2026 gathering in Charlotte is billed as <cite index="7-2">the 133rd Annual Conference & Exposition.</cite> Over its history the conference has grown into the field's largest annual meeting, rotating among major U.S. cities and combining a peer-reviewed technical program of papers and posters with distinguished lectures, workshops, and a large exposition. 501 South College Street
The Charlotte Convention Center is a modern, full-service venue located in Uptown Charlotte, designed to host conventions, exhibitions, and large meetings. It hosts most ANC 2026 activities, including the exhibit hall, education sessions, and general sessions. Registration and badge pick-up take place in the A Concourse (entrance off South College Street). The facility is smoke-free, and SNA works with the center to accommodate dietary restrictions and accessibility needs. The venue features a bus lane and lay-by capacity for buses at the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance for easy loading and unloading.
The Charlotte Convention Center does not have its own onsite parking garage; the nearest and most convenient option is the NASCAR Hall of Fame Parking Deck at 500 S. Brevard Street, which is adjacent and connected to the Convention Center via an over-street covered walkway.
SNA has contracted with more than 20 hotels, all within walking distance (no hotel is more than 0.6 miles from the Convention Center). Busing is provided from select properties. It is designed for the engineering and engineering technology education community, including deans, faculty members, students, and industry and government representatives. It is the largest annual gathering for sharing work and networking in engineering education.
Registration is completed online through ASEE's conference portal, with on-site registration in Exhibit Hall BC of the Charlotte Convention Center. Full-conference rates are tiered by date, ranging from US $795 (promotional member rate) up to US $1,245 (regular non-member rate), with reduced rates for students, life and retiree members, K-12 teachers and guests.
At least one author must register by April 8, 2026 (23:59 EDT) or the paper will be withdrawn. Cancellations on or before June 1, 2026 incur a $50 processing fee, and there are no refunds after that date.
ASEE offers a discounted room block at hotels within walking distance of the Charlotte Convention Center. The headquarters hotel is The Westin Charlotte (connecting), with others such as the Hilton Charlotte Uptown, JW Marriott Charlotte and Embassy Suites all across the street or within a block or two.
