ADLM is the professional organization formerly known as AACC (the American Association for Clinical Chemistry), and the meeting was previously called the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo. Formerly known as the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, ADLM has evolved into one of the most influential gatherings for laboratory medicine professionals worldwide.
The meeting has a long history and rotates among major U.S. convention cities. Poster abstracts from the annual meeting are archived dating back to 2010, and past host cities include Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, New Orleans, and Anaheim, with editions documented as far back as the 1970s. Anaheim previously hosted the meeting in 1995 and 1982. Upcoming editions are scheduled for the Anaheim Convention Center in 2026, McCormick Place in Chicago in 2027 and 2028, a return to the Anaheim Convention Center in 2029, and McCormick Place again in 2030.

ADLM 2026 is being held July 26–30, 2026, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, USA. The Clinical Lab Expo portion of the meeting runs July 28–30.
The meeting is designed for laboratory medicine and diagnostics professionals, including laboratorians, clinicians, researchers, IVD manufacturers, and lab management professionals across clinical chemistry, molecular diagnostics, mass spectrometry, and translational medicine.

Full conference rates range from $200 for trainee and emeritus members up to $1,360 for on-site non-member registration, and an Expo-only pass is available for as low as $40; ADLM members receive significant discounts, and the lowest rates apply through June 4.

The program also includes the Disruptive Technology Award Competition, poster presentations, ADLM University courses, and networking events.
Book only through ADLM's official housing partner, SPARGO, Inc., for discounted rates, overbooking protection, and shuttle service; several hotels sit adjacent to or within walking distance of the convention center. The nearest airport is John Wayne Airport (SNA), about 20 minutes away by rideshare, and ADLM runs shuttle service between most official hotels and the convention center during the conference.
