The event traces its roots to 2010, when Messe Frankfurt Inc. launched the Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo (HTFSE). It later became known as the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo and has been held annually in New York, becoming established as one of the East Coast's leading home textiles sourcing events. Over the years it has grown alongside its co-located shows Texworld and Apparel Sourcing at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, expanding its educational programming, curated trend features, and sustainability initiatives. In 2026, Messe Frankfurt expanded the concept to the West Coast for the first time, adding a Los Angeles edition co-located with Texworld LA and Apparel Sourcing LA.

The New York (East Coast) edition takes place July 29–31, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Show hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on July 29 and 30, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on July 31. A separate West Coast edition runs July 21–23, 2026, at the California Market Center in Los Angeles.

The easiest way is the 7 subway train to the 34th Street–Hudson Yards station, which exits directly across from the venue's main entrance. The M34-SBS bus, taxis, and rideshares also serve the area, and the center is reachable from JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia airports. The Javits Center does not offer general public parking, so drivers should pre-book a nearby garage.
