History

IWF Atlanta is presented as North America's oldest and largest wood products design and technology trade show and conference. The IWF takes place biennially. The show is owned and sponsored by the Woodworking Industry Association (WIA) and staged at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. For 2026 the organizers introduced a new Mass Timber & Prefab Showcase, reflecting the industry's move toward mass timber and prefabricated construction. The organization is also expanding, with a new sister event, IWF West, set to debut August 25–27, 2027 in San Antonio, Texas.
