The show is owned and sponsored by the Woodworking Industry Association (WIA) and staged at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. For 2026 the organizers introduced a new Mass Timber & Prefab Showcase, reflecting the industry's move toward mass timber and prefabricated construction. The organization is also expanding, with a new sister event, IWF West, set to debut August 25–27, 2027 in San Antonio, Texas.
