National Conference on Weights and Measures - NCWM 2026

Exhibitor spaces for the 2026 Annual Meeting have all been filled. The official site notes that exhibitor fees are charged in addition to registration fees, but a published rate schedule of specific booth prices by size or tier was not available in text form on the source page.

Registration is open now through July 30th, 2026. Standard registration rates are:

• $550 for members
• $675 for non-members
• $0 for retired members
• $250 for member registration for Sunday or Tuesday only
• $375 for non-member registration for Sunday or Tuesday only
• $0 for student registration

These rates apply when you register by July 18th, 2026. Guests must be registered online by July 3rd during your regular registration, and split payments are allowed. Registration can be completed online through the NCWM event registration page.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations received by 7/3/2026 are subject to a 15% cancellation fee; cancellations after 7/3/2026 are subject to a 50% fee. No refunds are given after the event has commenced.

NCWM traces its origins to 1905, when the National Bureau of Standards called for a meeting of the states to address the lack of uniform standards and, in many cases, regulatory oversight. Participants decided to meet again the following year, marking the birth of the National Conference on Weights and Measures. The organization's first model standards were published in 1915 as tolerances and specifications for weighing and measuring devices.

Over a century later, NCWM has evolved into a not-for-profit corporation with full-time staff and volunteer leadership. It established the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) in 1984. In 2024, the organization changed its name to the National Council on Weights and Measures to clarify that it is more than just a meeting. The 2026 gathering in Philadelphia is the 111th Annual Meeting.
