National Medical Association - NMA Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly 2026

Based on 2025 attendee data, the Convention reported a total professional attendance of 3,118 and 112 exhibiting companies. Organizers describe the audience as reaching more than 2,500 healthcare professionals across 26 specialties, many with direct purchasing authority or significant influence over institutional decision-making. The audience comprises African American MDs, DOs, and DPMs, physician executives, specialists, academicians, scientists, health professionals, residents, and students.

Exhibit booth space fees for the 2026 Convention (as published in the exhibitor prospectus) are:

• In-Line Booth: $40 per square foot
• In-Line Booth with 1 Corner: $40 per square foot plus a $200 corner fee
• In-Line Booth with 2 Corners: $40 per square foot plus a $400 corner fee
• Non-Profit or Publisher 10x10 Booth: $25 per square foot
• Island Booth: $42 per square foot

Each booth purchase includes an allotment of four Exhibit-Only booth personnel badges per 10'W/100 sq ft of space; up to five additional Exhibit-Only passes may be purchased for $200 each. Staff wishing to attend sessions or earn ACE/CME credit must purchase full meeting registrations. Non-Profit and Publisher booths include a display package (pipe and drape, one skirted table, two chairs, carpet, wastebasket, and ID sign). Exhibits are managed by A. Fassano & Company.

Registration is handled online through the official registration portal (mcievents.com/nma2026). Fee tiers vary by professional role and membership status, with three deadline windows:

1. Early Bird – through May 6, 2026
2. Regular Registration – May 7 to July 23, 2026
3. On-Site Registration – begins July 24, 2026

Selected member early-bird rates include: MD/DO/DPM member $635; Non-Physician member $335; Residents/Fellows member $230; Students member $25; Active-Duty Military member $185; and Guests $95. Non-member rates are higher (e.g., MD/DO/DPM non-member $2,469 early bird). A members-only Daily pass is available at $315/day, and NMA Member Emeritus registration is waived. Add-on tickets include the CCWP Awards Luncheon ($200), President's Ball ($275), and Session Recordings ($350). Camp NMA-zing youth programming is priced separately (e.g., all five days $1,700).

The National Medical Association was founded in 1895 during the Cotton States and International Exposition in Atlanta, when a group of Black physicians—barred from membership in the American Medical Association—established their own professional organization. Robert F. Boyd, M.D., of Nashville served as its first president, with Daniel Hale Williams, M.D., of Chicago as vice president. The organization was born out of the need to establish medical societies and hospitals for Black doctors and health professionals during the era of segregation.

The first issue of the Journal of the National Medical Association was published in 1909. Over the following decades, the NMA led the fight against discrimination in hospitals and medical schools, sponsored the first Imhotep National Conference on Hospital Integration in 1957, and lobbied for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Today the NMA is the nation's oldest and largest organization representing African American physicians, and its Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly has grown into the country's foremost forum on medical science and African American health.
