Each booth purchase includes an allotment of four Exhibit-Only booth personnel badges per 10'W/100 sq ft of space; up to five additional Exhibit-Only passes may be purchased for $200 each. History

The National Medical Association was founded in 1895 during the Cotton States and International Exposition in Atlanta, when a group of Black physicians—barred from membership in the American Medical Association—established their own professional organization. Robert F. Boyd, M.D., of Nashville served as its first president, with Daniel Hale Williams, M.D., of Chicago as vice president. The organization was born out of the need to establish medical societies and hospitals for Black doctors and health professionals during the era of segregation.

The first issue of the Journal of the National Medical Association was published in 1909. Over the following decades, the NMA led the fight against discrimination in hospitals and medical schools, sponsored the first Imhotep National Conference on Hospital Integration in 1957, and lobbied for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Today the NMA is the nation's oldest and largest organization representing African American physicians, and its Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly has grown into the country's foremost forum on medical science and African American health.
