The conference rotates among California cities. The 2025 edition was held June 27–30, 2025 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA. The 2026 conference returns to the CVMA's home city of Sacramento, and the conference is scheduled to move to San Diego, CA on June 3–6, 2027. The CVMA is the largest state veterinary medical association in the nation with more than 7,700 members.

PacVet 2026 is held at the newly renovated SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. The venue anchors the SAFE Credit Union Convention & Performing Arts District, the epicenter of downtown Sacramento. It is a large venue with 31 meeting rooms, extensive exhibit space, and a grand ballroom, with an impressive interior offering ample space for events and amenities such as an on-site full-service Starbucks. The center offers banquet seating for up to 7,744 persons and classroom seating for up to 13,556 persons, with a 30-foot exhibit hall ceiling height.
There are parking garages located nearest to the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center. The venue lists about 4,000 parking spaces available.

Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is about 11 miles away, and the Blue Line light rail's Cathedral Square Station is a 3-minute walk from the convention center. Daily event parking runs about $15–$25 at nearby city garages and can be pre-booked through SacPark.org.
