In August 1982 the University bought the Molly Caren farm, consisting of nearly 1,000 acres in Madison County, to serve as the new home of the Farm Science Review; the land was valued at $2.2 million but was sold for just $500,000 at the request of the farm's owner.
The show has grown into one of the largest events of its kind. For the 2026 edition, the organizers mark 64 years of Farm Science Review, reflecting Ohio State's land-grant mission of bringing research, teaching and outreach together in one place.
