History

The Hydrogen Americas Summit was established as a premier gathering for the hydrogen community in the Americas, co-hosted by the Sustainable Energy Council (SEC) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The 2nd edition took place on 10–11 October 2022 in Washington, D.C., with keynote speakers including then–Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. Following a sell-out 2022 summit, the 2023 edition (2–3 October) expanded to the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., adding a world-class exhibition and a Tech Series stage. The 2024 edition returned to Washington, D.C. on 11–12 June, and the 2025 edition was held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in the Washington, D.C. area on 3–4 September. For 2026, the show relocates to Houston, Texas and introduces a dedicated CCUS Americas track.
