Home to events as wide-ranging as policy conferences and presidential inaugural balls, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center offers a prime location in D.C.'s convention and entertainment district with access to hotels, restaurants, shopping, and live sports. The 2026 meetings use dedicated locations in downtown Washington, D.C., at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the Marriott Marquis and surrounding hotels. The Marriott Marquis has adjoining access to the convention center, where the majority of Governance Meetings will be held. The Trade Expo takes place on the convention center show floor.
The venue sits in downtown Washington, D.C., steps from the Mount Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center Metro station (Green and Yellow lines). The city is served by three major airports: Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA), Washington Dulles International (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI). NAR offers negotiated travel discounts for attendees: a 2%–10% discount on United Airlines (code ZRSF532670), special Delta fares (event code NY4AM), and up to 25% off car rental base rates from Avis, Budget, and Hertz through the REALTOR Benefits program. The 2026 REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo take place June 13–18, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The main venue is the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, with events also at the Marriott Marquis and surrounding downtown hotels.
The event is designed for NAR members involved in association governance and committee volunteers, as well as Federal Political Coordinators and other politically active members who engage with Congress. All other NAR members are welcome to attend the open meetings, sessions, forums, and the Expo.
Registration is free for NAR members with a valid Member ID. Non-members pay $125 for the full conference or $40 for Expo-only access, and guests are free when registered with an NAR member. All registrations are made online through Maritz, NAR's registration partner.
The Trade Expo runs June 15–16, 2026, from 10am to 5pm at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. It features over 75 exhibitors showcasing real estate products, technology, and services, along with networking sessions, presentations, live product demos, and activations like a headshot lounge and opening reception.
NAR reserves group-rate rooms at many downtown DC hotels, including the headquarters hotel Marriott Marquis Washington DC, which has adjoining access to the convention center. Book your hotel through the event registration system to receive the NAR group rates, which range from around $209 to $450 per night depending on the property.
