Please note the following access restrictions: entry is not allowed for minors, access is not permitted in sports attire, and pets are not allowed (except guide dogs with proper documentation). Tecno Mueble Internacional is organized by AFAMJAL (Asociación de Fabricantes de Muebles de Jalisco), the Jalisco Furniture Manufacturers Association, which was founded in October 1979 and also produces the winter and summer editions of Expo Mueble Internacional. The name "Tecno Mueble" derives from the Spanish words for "technology" and "furniture," reflecting the event's focus on advanced manufacturing technologies, forward-thinking materials and solutions for furniture production and wood processing. The fair is held annually at Expo Guadalajara and has grown into one of the largest trade shows of its kind in Latin America. In earlier editions it was co-organized as MEM Industrial–Tecno Mueble Internacional with Hannover Fairs México.

Expo Guadalajara is one of the two most important convention and exhibition venues in the city, located in Guadalajara's financial and industrial district alongside the World Trade Center Guadalajara. For the 2026 edition, Tecno Mueble Internacional occupies more than 13,000 square meters of exhibition space arranged into specialized pavilions. The nearest airport is Guadalajara International Airport (Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, code GDL), located roughly 15–22 kilometers from the Expo Guadalajara area depending on the exact hotel; travel time is commonly around 35–40 minutes by car. Rideshare services and taxis operate throughout the area, and the venue sits on major thoroughfares including Av. Mariano Otero and Av. López Mateos, providing good access across the city. Guadalajara's Central Bus Station is a few kilometers away for those arriving by intercity bus.
